A master agreement with a new courier service has been finalized, and KYVL has begun working with the courier to restore service as soon as possible. Courier service will be provided by Stat Courier of St. Louis, MO, online at stat-courier.com. Stat Courier has provided statewide library courier service since 2007. States and consortia served include MOBIUS (MO and IA), Georgia PINES and regional systems, and Jefferson County and Pikes Peak library systems in Colorado.
KYVL's member public and academic library systems are eligible to receive one weekly courier stop. These libraries will be contacted in the days ahead regarding their interest in purchasing additional stops, so that routes and schedules can be finalized.
Additional information will be communicated to these participating libraries through e-lists in KYVL's new member portal, online at www.kyvl.org/portal. All library staff members are encouraged to create portal accounts and set their communication preferences.
