by Ilona Burdette on 2017-09-21T11:09:00-04:00 in *Blog subjects: *KDL - Kentucky Digital Library | 0 Comments

A meeting to share plans for the refresh of the Kentucky Digital Library will be held Friday, October 27, 2017, from 1 pm to 4 pm at the Council on Postsecondary Education in Frankfort, KY.

KDL as currently hosted at the University of Kentucky will be coming to an end. Before this occurs, the new KDL will be taking shape on OCLC’s CONTENTdm platform.

If your institution is interested in sharing your digital content with the world, please plan to join us. Topics to be covered include:

  • A brief history and future of KDL
  • An introduction of CONTENTdm features and functionality from OCLC
  • Information about the cost of participating (spoiler alert: surpassingly affordable for small collections)
  • Next steps

View KDL’s sandbox on the CONTENTdm platform at kdl.contentdm.oclc.org. Visit www.kyvl.org/contentdm to learn how you can sign up for a test account to begin exploring CONTENTdm functionality.
