OCLC FirstSearch / WorldCat Visibility

To address cost/benefit inequities of core resources among members or member constituencies, KYVL may, in exceptional cases, limit access to and / or assess institutional surcharges for select resources which otherwise fall under the core resources funding model.

KYVL's modified core acquisition model was first applied to KYVL's APA PsycINFO subscription in the F2024-25 fiscal year, with current subscribers representing more than 95 percent of prior usage by KYVL member institutions. Resulting cost savings serve to offset cost increases for all KYVL members.

Full text for hundreds of psychology journals is available to all KYVL members through EBSCO's Academic Search Complete and Psychology and Behavioral Sciences collections.

Currently, KYVL members with an institutional subscription to an OCLC cataloging product or holdings registration are eligible for a subscription to OCLC FirstSearch or WorldCat Visibility depending on demonstrated usage. Subscribers appear below.

  and is a tool for finding items in other libraries’ collections.
• WorldCat Visibility makes library content available through search engines and sites such as Wikipedia and Goodreads, enabling users to get to WorldCat.org in as little as two clicks.
