Kentucky Virtual Library provides access to both peer reviewed journals indexed and full text, and Career Preparation with licensing/certification exam prep and skills building content. We have about 15 hospitals in the KYVL membership and these resources are available, as well as all the other KYVL content -- 65 research, encyclopedia, skills building and test prep resources. For access, someone must be on the network of a public library, school, organization, hospital, university, etc OR have been given log in instructions. The research databases and test prep resources are restricted to member locations within Kentucky.
For research on healthcare topics or for test prep, we have a page for Health Professionals listing what is most relevant. For example, the following research databases are listed among recommended resources:
Academic Search Complete > Scholarly multi-disciplinary full-text database, with periodicals; indexing and abstracts for journals; monographs, reports and conference proceedings
Career and Technical Education database from ProQuest > Full text from nursing journals and related fields
CINAHL with Full Text > Full text for many of the most-used nursing & allied health journals in the CINAHL index - with no embargo
Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection > Full text database for psychologists, counselors, researchers and students providing full-text psychology journals
Also listed on our Health Professionals page is the resource Career Preparation within LearningExpress from EBSCO. This module in LearningExpress contains tutorials, practice tests, study guides as ebooks, flashcards, and more for a variety of different career paths in healthcare and related fields.

KYVL resources are responsive and will adjust to mobile devices. The eBooks in LearningExpress can be downloaded anywhere they are needed. You can have multiple copies on multiple devices. There is a mobile LearningExpress app but not everything is available.
We have two flyers to share - one for the Health Sciences Research resources and one for Health Careers and LearningExpress. We can customize these flyers with the unique links for KYVL members and you can share out the PDFs or post them to a website, online classroom or elsewhere.
