Integration of KYVL resources

Log in to Destiny

Select Back Office from top menu

• Choose Site Configuration from left menu
• Select Site Info tab
• Make sure Use Digital Resources box is checked. (Click the (?) button for more information.)

Select Catalog from top menu

• Choose Search Setup from left menu
• Choose Enriched Content Searches tab
• Click the (?) button for detailed instructions on setting up and configuring One Search for the first time.
• To add KYVL databases, click the Edit button next to One Search Database Information.

Add KYVL Databases

• In the box that opens, click Add Databases.
• Next to the desired database or groups of databases, click Add. (A listing of KYVL databases appears below.)
• For each database selected:
  • Enter your district's KYVL User Name and Password.
  • Select database by checking the box.
  • Select options for the database:
    • Display in Destiny Discover Homepage Links Section?
    • Preset selected in Destiny Classic?
    • Allow Students?
    • Allow Staff?
    • Allow Guests?
  • Scroll back to the top and click Save.

KYVL databases are found among:

• EBSCO Family
  • (Need complete listing)
• Encyclopedia Britannica Family
  • (Need complete listing)
• ProQuest (new)
  • ProQuest Alt-Press Watch
  • ProQuest Career and Technical Education

KYVL will be requesting that Follett create a KYVL Family (similar to BadgerLink Family under Reference Databases) with all KYVL databases collected in one spot.
